Why this site exists

charterm.ee began as a personal experiment: turn a stack of half-planned sailing routes into something other people might actually use. The site collects the kind of research a charter sailor wishes existed — destinations, itineraries, and the things you wish you'd known before leaving the dock — written for couples and small groups planning a holiday on the water.

Who's behind it

The site is run by Moritz Schroeder. I started sailing in my 30s, mostly in the Mediterranean, and fell in love with Greece. I enjoy researching places and routes — and rather than letting that research live in an Excel sheet that might never turn into a charter, I share it here.

Favourite waters

My favourite stretch of water is the Ionian Sea in the shoulder seasons — when the maïstro has eased, the towns are quiet, and the anchorages aren't booked out three deep.
