Delete Your Anchormee Data
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Anchormee Alarm has no user account. Most data stays on your phone, and the little that reaches our servers can be deleted by you directly in the app or on request. Details of what is stored and for how long are in the Anchormee privacy policy.
1. Delete directly in the app
- Stop sharing an anchor watch. The shared session and its positions, status and battery data are deleted from our servers immediately.
- Remove an alert channel (email address or Telegram chat) in the sharing screen. The address or chat identifier is deleted immediately.
- Uninstall the app to remove everything stored on the phone: settings, anchor history, track points and the random device identifier.
2. Request deletion of the server-side device record
The app registers each install with a random identifier and a push-notification token so that sharing can work. This record is purged automatically 12 months after the app last contacted our servers. To have it deleted earlier, email us:
The record contains no name or contact details, so to find it please tell us what you can:
- roughly when you installed the app and when you last used sharing,
- the email address you used for alerts, if any,
- the Telegram account or group you linked, if any.
We confirm deletion by email within 30 days, usually much sooner. You can also write to privacy@charterm.ee without the subject line.
3. What gets deleted
A deletion request removes everything our backend holds for your install:
- Device registration: random device identifier, push token, app version and language.
- Shared watch sessions owned by that device, including all positions, status and battery data.
- Alert channels: email addresses and Telegram chat identifiers linked to those sessions.
Data on your phone is not affected by a server-side request; uninstall the app to remove it. Backend server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp) expire on their own after 14 days and are not retrievable per user.
